The 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge invites children and adults to take action for their health, enjoyably and at their own pace. Something new for 2010: the addition of the Wellness component to the “5/30” to lend a more global approach to health that stresses the importance of taking care of body and mind!
In signing up for the 5/30 Health and Wellness Challenge, for 6 weeks, from March 1 to April 11, 2010, you commit to:
- eat better… including at least 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day (Goal 5)
- move more… meaning at least 30 minutes a day (Goal 30)
- take care of yourself… targeting an objective to improve your wellness (choice of 5 Wellness Goals)
“5,” “30,” , “Wellness” – these are the basis of the Health Challenge.
Two Goals Plus are offered for those who wish to take things a step further:
- Consuming enough dairy products or Improving my cardio health.
